Halloween is not only one of the best holidays because of its spooky vibe and unique dress code, but for all the candy that comes with it! While we as Zillennials are well past our trick-or-treating years, that doesn’t mean we’re too old to enjoy candy. (There is no limit for that!) Some of you might have children of your own who are getting ready to go trick-or-treating this year, while others of you might be planning to just buy your own bag of candy and curl up to watch a horror movie. Whatever the case, Halloween leaves so many of us left with heaps of candy that (if you play it right) can last you through the new year. If you’re looking for something creative to do with your candy after that initial Halloween night binge, we’re compiled some leftover Halloween candy recipes that are all treat and no trick.
Candy Crumble
We have some actual recipes after this, we swear! But there’s no better starting point for our list than a classic candy crumble. All you have to do is compile all the candy you want to use in a plastic bag, then smash it up! Pop it in the fridge or freezer so it’ll keep longer, then bring it out whenever you want to use for the following:
- Ice cream toppings
- A mix-in for granola
- Popcorn topping
- Anything else you want!

If you’re searching for a recipe that will turn one kind of candy bar into another, this is the one for you! These bars are similar to blondies (or if cookies were in bar form.) We got this particular recipe from @sweettreatsyt. Here’s what you’ll need:
- ½ cup butter melted and browned
- ½ cup dark brown sugar
- 1 egg room temperature
- 1 tbsp vanilla
- 1 ⅓ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ¾ tsp salt
- 1 ½ cups of any candy you feel like
Dessert Pizza
@jodie.thedesigntwins Looking for a way to use some of that LEFTOVER HALLOWEEN CANDY? Here’s a great recipe I made yesterday that you and the whole family will LOVE!! Here’s what you need: 13” pizza round for baking Spray with cooking spray 1 tube Pillsbury sugar cookie dough 10 oz cream cheese 1/2 cup sugar 1 tsp vanilla 20 fun size chocolate bars 1/4 cup Reese’s Pieces 1/2 cup broken pretzels 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips Press cookie dough evenly onto pizza stone or tin pizza pan leaving 1 inch space from edge. Bake cookie in preheated oven at 350 for 16-20 min or until golden. Let cool. Soften cream cheese in microwave briefly and mix up ingredients until well blended. When cookie crust is cool spread cream cheese mixture evenly over crust leaving 1/2 inch edge. Next choose 20 fun size chocolate bars and cut into quarters. Add them to top of cream cheese mixture spreading evenly. Next add 1/4 cup Reese’s pieces. Add approx 1/2 cup broken pretzel pieces. Lastly melt approx 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips and drizzle over entire candy-cookie pizza! This recipe arguably combines the two greatest foods on the planet and we’re here for it! For this recipe, taken from @jodie.thedesigntwins requires the following:
- 13” pizza round for baking
- cooking spray
- 1 tube Pillsbury sugar cookie dough
- 10 oz cream cheese
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
Spray the cooking spray on the pan, then spread out the cookie dough. Combine the cream cheese, sugar and vanilla to make the pizza sauce. Top the pizza with your candy of choice, and you’re done! Pop the pizza in the oven and follow the instructions on the Pillsbury wrapper.

We’re shocked we didn’t think of combining candy with all of our favorite desserts sooner! We got this recipe from @fl.amykate. Start by making rice krispie treats as you normally would. (If you’re not familiar, combine melted butter, mini marshmallows and rice krispies.) This recipe also calls for some chocolate/candy that can be added to the rice krispie mix. Melt it down and stir it together into the rice krispies. Once your rice krispies are made, roll them into little balls and cover them in sprinkles of your choice! Candy corn and mini chocolate chips also make a nice topping.
