On October 28, 2020, the book's name, The Puppet Carver, is revealed.^[1]
On January 28, 2021, the book's cover is revealed.
On February 22, 2021, the Books-A-Million exclusive variant cover is revealed.
On May 15, 2021, the audiobook preview and the story titles are revealed on Overdrive.^[2]

Unlike the other placeholder covers the other Fazbear Frights books formerly had, the placeholder title is named "Title TK" meaning WIP.
The title for the book was initially listed erroneously as The Pupper Carver on a few websites before Scholastic listed the book on their website.
This is the first Fazbear Frights book to have an exclusive variant cover.
