Aight, so this game is really lacking sea monsters. Yeah, we have the Lionfish and the Dread Serpent, but what else? We need something to absolutely jumpscare the player, and an extremely tanky mob that players need to work with each other in order to slay this sea beast.
The Kraken has 100,000 health, which makes it the tankiest monster in the game. The Kraken will also be extremely annoying, as all of it's attacks may or may not stun you. However, after killing the Kraken, you will be awarded with amazing items.
The Kraken can be found in the Aratel Sea, between Hive, Songseeker and Summer Isle. You need to have a Schooner, Merchant Schooner, Frigate or Ironclad in order to encounter the Kraken. The larger the ship is, the higher chance the Kraken will spawn.
Players will be notified if there is a Kraken nearby if there are tentacles sticking out from the sea. After two minutes, the Kraken reveals itself and tries to eat the ship with it's powerful tentacles. You can not cancel the animation, he will eat your ship no matter what, thus breaking it, in which you'll have to salvage it's remaining pieces.
The Kraken's only attacks are a grab move, and it can suck you inside of it's mouth, turning you into the Kraken's dinner. The Kraken's attacks may be parryable, but it can be confusing as the tentacles will always keep moving. These attacks deal massive damage and if you are under 1 bar, the Kraken will automatically grip you if they use their grab move.
After killing the Kraken, it drowns back into the sea and a random tiny island suddenly appears. It contains one massive chest, and inside these chests, there is a 10% chance for an enchant being in it. If the Kraken is dead, you have a 95% chance to get the Kraken's Tentacle and a 5% chance to get the Kraken's Eye. Every time there's a player fighting the Kraken with you, the chances of getting the Kraken's Eye will keep dropping by 1% and then there will be a 0% chance of you getting the eye.
If you have all five of the Kraken's Eye, you can go to the Mantra Table, put in all of the eyes and treat it like you're modifying the mantra. After that, you can choose to get:
The All-Seeing Eye (After flourishing an enemy, the next attack they make will be automatically dodged)
Epitaph's Eye (After M1'ing an enemy, you can dodge any attack and teleport behind them, has a 30 second cooldown and you have to wait 1 second in order to use your moves)
Scholar's Eye (After using a critical on your opponent, you can view how much health they have and dodge an incoming mantra for free)
Supreme Eye (Your M1s do 50% more damage, does not work on weapons that surpass 50 damage)
Charismatic Eye (Upon M1'ing humanoid enemies, they won't attack you for 10 seconds due to the Charismatic Eye)
After choosing one of them, these eyes will act like a Deep Gem. If you hold out the eye and click it, it will automatically merge with your current weapon.
